The Echoes
When
Guitars Ruled - A Tribute to the Shadows

In 1959 a group of young Israeli musicians, inspired
by the Shadows and the other pop instrumental acts of the day, decided
to form their own band. During the 1960s the Echoes, as this group
was known, played for audiences throughout Israel. The band broke
up in the early 1970s, but a few years ago some of the members began
getting back together, jamming for fun. Then they went into the
studio and recorded themselves playing the music they loved. This
CD is the result of that happy reunion.
